2 Things to do Tomorrow

Short post for today, since the one two days ago was terribly lengthy.

Going to eat Sakae buffet tomorrow, at the Simei branch since there's no cameras there. Oh, I was playing Mahjong again. Today was super dulan, I had this pwnage hand but couldn't get the tiles I need. Nabei la. I had like a 5 sou ponned at one side, and in my hand were a pon of zhong of which I was waiting to kang, and pairs of dong, nan and xi accompanied by a solitary facai. The plan was to wait for an opportunity to pon the pairs, and if it had gone successfully I'd have..

1 tai from the zhongs
6 tai from the potential Xiao Si Xi hand
2 tai from the dora dora tiles, which are actually known as hu hua but I prefer to name them dora dora tiles due to influence from Akagi

For a total of 9 tai. If I had tsumoed, it'd be 10 tai. Rather like the missed Daisengan the other day.

Damn.

The second thing is to go watch Sky of Love. This has been long overdue, and I have to watch it by tomorrow or I'll never win at Mahjong again. Most of the reviews noted that weeping couples and flocks of females were seen crying after the said show. It'll probably be a full house, so there'll be ahem here and there. I should bring a camera with uber night mode there to take shots of hanky panky going on, and print them out for archiving in the sacred library of decent acts, since a couple was rumoured to have been ahheming in a cinema. This is one instance where you should not request for a corner seat, since you can't get a good view of anything from a corner seat.

Speaking of emo, I have been emo. The reason....

Rumbling Hearts PC.rar 10.3% Need more sources

WTF!

There's another reason.....

I'm stuck playing Apollo Justice and NBA Live'08 for the DS and PSP respectively. Justice is good, but Phoenix was way better; they should reinstate him as the protagonist. NBA is.. just plain honggan. It's hard to shoot, and the AI is rigged, since all their shots land. Damn.

I was browsing through the virtual space that is perpetually clogged with porn and viruses, also known as the Internet, when I found this.

I like this poster, kudos to the artist. Speaking of artists, I have been practising the art of drawing manga. It all started when the low-class Pancake drew a picture of a naked figure on some table in the tutorial room. Of course, we all start as noobs, but I expect to see significant progress soon since my PSLE T-score is the pwnzor, thank you very much. The main issue I face when drawing these is these figures is getting rid of them after the job is done, since there is a 97% chance that some Secondary 1 student will come across these artpieces. Besides this, there's also the problem of proportion. Most of the figures I draw look too short and improportionate or too tall and.. well, sharing characteristics with an airport runway. I made my first attempt at a clothed figure today, but it wasn't very good as the clothes looked really ugly. I want to advance to the level of being able to draw people in costumes, like maids and nurses, but I've no idea how to get started. Maybe I should visit the library for some manga resources.

Oh, and I went to watch L Change the World just now. I saw a scene of a maid cafe in Japan during the show, and now I have this urge to get on the next Tiger Airways flight for Yui's country. There's such a cafe in Singapore too, but it probably sucks unless the waitresses have gone through plastic surgery or something like that to enlarge their eyes. By the way, I have something to tell you. Sky of Love releases on 6th March! Finally, something good. The lead actress is named Yui, but its another Yui, not the singer damn it. I hope it hasn't been over-censored by the MDA, or I'd be really disappointed. It's similar to Juno as they both have the exact same themes.

End of the post for today.

I'm trying to take a diverse interest in Japanese music, so I've decided to switch to Ami Suzuki for today. It's an addictive techno song that has a nice tune to it, so it'll be on the playlist for now. Nice video eh?

Oh yeah, I started reading Bowling King today. It's a really cute comic with hilarious antics, and has softcore ecchi here and there. Highly recommended for those who like sport mangas.

There's more. We had two tests in class today, English and AMath. I'd be lying if I said that the AMath paper was easy. I had expected questions from the textbook to appear, in which case I would have gotten 25 marks worth of free food. The actual test was shocking. I have just one thing to say. I got a B4 in art during primary school, but I understand the basic concepts of using a ruler to draw accurate diagrams. I am also well-versed in the law of proportions, such as the magical three proportions. The ideal one would be 36-24.5-36.5, but I'm unconvinced that it will appear before me. The mind can be perverted, but it DOES know how to connect lines to each other, at the very least.

I think I screwed up the English essay for the common test. I chose question 3, boredom, simply because 1 and 2 were too dry and noobish, and 4 failed to conform with my ideals. I wrote about this really sexy Japanese girl whose intelligence puts even the most hardcore China scholar to shame. She was too owning, and as a result felt bored. Okay, let's try a different approach, since structured sentences are a hassle to form.

Imba girl is bored -> becomes prostitute

I'm highly skeptical that this will work, unless Mohan doesn't get my point. Wait, I feel better already.

I learned another Japanese word, chotto mata. It means "wait" woohoo~

I went to watch Juno today. Went to TM first at 3.30 or so to pick up the tickets, dressed in a comfy blue tee and black pants ensemble. The queue was very long, as if it were the queue to obtain tickets for YOG 2010. I was behind this couple who were displaying refined PDA, which made me feel fubar. Behind me was this bunch of bimbos talking so loudly I could hear them even with Rolling Star blasting from my earphones. This is ridiculous, I need noise insulation pronto. I decided to take my frustration of dropping a divine rapier in a pub game out on these suckers. Rummaging through my virtual memory banks, I realised that I had not collected my GV membership card. A plan began to take shape. After the affectionate couple had bought their tickets, I walked to the counter and asked for three tickets to Fool's Gold. This was easy, since the show in question is rated PG. The cashier printed out the tickets, and asked for $28.50 in payment. Then, I told her that I also wanted three tickets for Juno. I had not expected the reaction I got. "You in JC right?", mouthed the stupid cashier. I concurred weakly and she began printing yet another three tickets. Next, I requested for my membership card. How cute, it's in the shape of a tub of popcorn. I could feel the negative aura of the bimbos behind me. It was obvious that their wrath had been incurred, and they were prepared to strike at full fury. I paid the money and left hastily, chuckling to myself for wasting approximately five minutes of their time.

I like Juno. Juno is about teenage pregnancy, as I've mentioned before. The actress, Ellen Page, is only 20 this year, looks like she has a bright future just waiting to be explored. Her diction was what one could expect of a standard American teenager, and she was quite pretty before the pregnancy occurred. The cinema was occupied by mainly couples in their 20s, and there was this couple sitting beside me. They were fondling so passionately that the woman's bag was somehow shoved into my seat. I reached my hand into the bag, and discovered a long pointy device, perhaps a pregnancy test kit. However, upon further reflection, i realised that it could have well been just an ordinary pen. Damn, I must have been influenced by Juno. In the show, Juno is aged 16. That's something like a Secondary 4 student getting pregnant, which is kind of rare in Singapore. It barely happens, like a meteor shower.

"I want an abortion"
"How old are you?"
"16"

The classic three liner from the movie. We're done here.

Ecchi Valentine

Okay so today was Valentine's day. Someone got his rose today, and was in high spirits throughout the day after that. It was rather obvious from his frolicking in the Chemistry lab that he really appreciated the rose. Jem told him that Abigail was the one who gave it to him, and since he didn't know who she was, he bought it. Actually, it was a combined effort of 10 pieces of 20 cent coins, but that's another story altogether. He took such great care of the rose; wiping the table free of dust before placing the delicate flower on it, and smacking Yihan when he tried to touch it. The comical moment was when the GB people delivered the rose. A look of bewilderment was stuck onto his face, and lasted for about a minute or so.

Maybe it's unwise to play with other peoples' emotions?

I felt like Akagi Shigeru at that moment.

They were the eyes of a child who had grown bored with a toy.

Forget it, I'm bad at producing emo stuff, unless you still like this classic line.

"I like walking in the rain, so no one can see my tears."

Okay that's enough.

Anyway, I saw the poster for Juno yesterday at the bus stop. It touches on teenage pregnancy, and stars Ellen Page. The first impression I got from the advertisement was good, as teenage pregnancy is always a popular topic. I don't know, is there something about 18 year old mothers that appeals? I decided with my rights as a 16 year old that I had to get into this show. Maybe this weekend or so, if nothing else crops up.

Okay, so there were these two stories on differentiation today. I thought of one too. Let's say everyone has an immunity to STDs, and this is reflected in a bar like those of Pokemons' healthpoints. Imagine you start off at 100%, and your immunity gets halved everytime an act is performed. Is it true that you will never get an STD, since you can divide it an infinite amount of times? Yes! Yeah right.

Time to sleep. Full marks in tomorrow's Physics coming up.

Dry Dreams

Hmm.. I had a dream yesterday. Actually I'm still pondering on whether to be direct in this post or to beat the bush with some metaphors. I'm thinking. So wait.

<10 minutes later>

Ok, I have decided that it shall be a delectable combination of both. Without further ado, let's begin.

After rumbling yesterday night on the ancient laptop which I want to trade-in for a new computer, I was beat. Eyelids drooping, with a hint of backache coming on. Fair enough, it seemed that my bedtime had arrived. The hour of truth that bears repugnance for a rumbler's and ecchi fan's soul. I cursed at the clock. "Damn you, clock." Then, I proceeded to zap it with a level 3 Finger of Death(buffed with Agahnim), and it was reduced to a shadow of its former self. I made a mental note to buy one of those Sekirei clocks to replace this wasted one. Imagine you're pressing the button to shut off the alarm just after waking up, but grope something else instead. Ohho.

The Chinese New Year Hongbao Collection is coming to a close, and the amount amassed has surpassed expectations, possibly due to the three or four marriages of which I have been uninformed of. No matter, as long as it spells more money for my personal spending. So, I hoarded an amount of roughly $200 this year. Now that I have the resources, I shall abuse them ala NKF's Golden Tap saga, and add it to the Japan trip funds, a journey of ecchi proportions of which I shall be embarking on after we're done with the O'Levels. The rough plan shall be to fly to Japan via Jetstar, put up in capsule hotels for 5 nights, and spend the daytime buying stuff that can't be acquired in Singapore, as well as visiting the StudioSeven recording studio. The purpose? To get an autograph which I can auction off on EBay for a killer sum. The expenditure for this trip is tentatively set to SGD$1000, so I probably still have a long way to go.

Oh, and I caught CJ7 over the Chinese New Year break : on the small screen. To be exact, it was a 42-inch Samsung plasma at a relative's house. I have no idea as to the identity of the relative in question, but who cares when there was a fat hongbao to be collected. I had some fun playing around with the swiveling base; it's like the flap of your air-condtioner to be exact. Turns in a 225 degree arc without breaking, is that cool or what? Anyway, the show was.. okay it's hard to describe. Just think of ET but without the plot, a senseless touch of Stephen Chow, and a cuter alien added to the mix. That's CJ7. Seriously, I really thought it sucked. Fair enough, the puffy ball was cute, but is that all to it? The running time was rather short to say the least. If you want to know more, watch it for yourself. The miserly mood I'm in would like to see you waste your money on the show. Stick to kungfu shows man.

Oh. I dreamt that I was in this ecchi scene straight out of a manga. There was this apparition lying in the bathtub, clothed in a blue dress with a belt at the waist area. If I'm not mistaken, its supposed to be a popular fashion right now to wear dresses with belts. Probably. IMO, japanese school uniforms are still the way to go. Someone should import them and sell them off on a blogshop or something like that. Maybe it shall be me. Who knows? Back to the point. I've been seeing these outfits for countless times this CNY. In fact, I could throw a PSP into a crowd and the person who catches it would be wearing a dress accompanied with a belt. Not that I would do such a thing, the greedy bugger would probably make off with the PSP and hock it at Cash Converters. Those scourges. I once brought in a fully-working Pentium 3 in for cash converting and was offered $50. Right then, I felt like Jay Chou in Kung Fu Dunk : !@#$ed up.

Okay, let's do a short section on today. PE was the same routine; stretching, and then games. I went back to class to study before the lesson ended. The geography test was alright. There was no need to spend so much time studying after all, since the content after page 28 was not even touched on at all. Chinese was really !@#$ed up, I read the passage again, albeit pathetically. Sometimes, I wonder why I'm even taking Higher Chinese when my command of it is so poor. I do okay in the written aspect, but verbally I'm like the worst in the level. Wait, maybe not, if you drag the other ethnic groups into the picture. Just 8 more months in this hellhole and I'm out. Good riddance to HCL.

Oh yeah. I bought the album from YUI yesterday. It cost $21.95 at HMV. That was a big fat scam for an album that has already been out since April of last year. Nevertheless, I rather like the songs in there, so the playlist shall be updated to match this current interest in Japanese music.

I've got a choice. To read ecchi or to watch Rosario+Vampire. I shall choose the latter. See ya.

Happy Chinese New Year all, and you can have this to be your first red packet of the year.

I have a penchant for manga that has more ecchi than plot, and Sekirei is one of the many available on OneManga. What happens when people who are in full-cosplay mode fight? Their clothes get torn off of course:)

There are more suggestive themes in the manga itself, such a leaving a mark on a Sekirei and bonding it to the Ashikabi(the Sekirei's owner) through a process known as winging. A Sekirei may only be winged once. However, you may wing as many Sekireis as you like. Oh my, sounds like some naughty human urges~ The only difference is that the Ashikabis will never get AIDS or genital herpes. Typical of a manga:(

Reading is good! Especially reading manga!

Some Hot Gimmick.

Oh, I went to the band concert yesterday night. Before that, there was the issue of the Vivo City flag day. Reached Tanah Merah station at around 12, hell I figured I was going to be late since I left home at around 930 or so. Turns out that when it comes to BB, you can just set your watch 15 minutes late since late arrivals are very common. Took the train to Vivo and ate at the market. The bak chor mee was decent for $2.50 though. Then it was time for collections. 5 hours later, collections ended. Walked around Vivo a bit after that but didn't buy anything since I'd rather save up for some Kinokuniya manga visits. Got a lift from Oi soon after. 3 noobs cramped into the back of a van with a cupboard equals squeezy. We were reading the Maxim magazine that we got from the jolly guys at the NTU event though, so it somewhat negated the cagey atmosphere.

The concert was good. The seats were not. Plastic seats are shit, especially the green ones. We went looking around at the intermission, and we found Haonan in a formal shirt and tie ensemble. So, an attempt to pull it off began. We also found Matthew.

Supper at 85 after that. Fried oysters and porridge. Oysters were a scam, with the majority comprising of fried starch bits. Yuck.

Rushed home for a shower, manga and rumble.

Still on manga so let's end this here.

A page from the Desire Climax manga. I'm regarding this as a prelude to School Rumble, the next manga which I shall embark on soon. Oh my, shoujo is way better than ecchi.

Someone drew this on my table. There was a whole bunch of Hi!s and Hie!s and whatnot to the right of this. Dang it. Jem told me only one person could have left this behind. Hmm?

Oh well, back to manga.

An Attempt at Fine Speech and More
Wednesday, January 16, 2008 // 0 replies

Good evening ladies and gentlemen.

I believe the hunk's edition of Deal or No Deal on the heartlanders' channel also known as Channel 5. A tragedy happened on the show today, if you don't already know. The woman left the show with a check for $88,000. The thing is, if she had just waited a few minutes more, she would have been able to clinch the ultimate prize of $250,000. See, she had already chosen the divine case of rumbling. It's just too bad that she was backdoored at the last minute and poof goes her money. Well, that's just some Meepo Life.

It's time to ask a rhetorical question. Are you noob? Actually, you don't have to answer that because its a rhetorical question. Those who deem themselves capable of providing the answer to this age-old question will be mercilessly zapped.

Anyway, we were instructed to draft a speech for English lesson today, so the group I was in, which incidentally comprised of Noob Yc, some Yihan and the dude with the red curly hair Ronald. He has just launched a new product, by the way. It's called the prosperity burger. Get yours today! Moving on. We somehow took it upon ourselves to put together a little kick in the head for the hierarchy of the school, though we doubt it will ever reach the dark recesses of the boardrooms they hold their meetings in. Nevertheless, we are undaunted and when there's a will, there's a way.

If memory serves true, the draft went something like this..

Maybe I'll save it for the next post. The bed is calling.

Today, after the assembly ended, there was a hair check. I feel sad for Mervin. He had painstakingly had his hair cut at home, and look at what happened today. He got called up along with Edmund, Chia, Wey Jian, Willy and me. We had all won free haircuts in the lucky draw. I was planning to get my hair trimmed anyway, and the end result wasn't that bad, so there's four dollars saved. The problems were related to either the fringe, the sideburns or the back. If the hair in concern managed to pass through all three of the criterion unscathed, there would always be the classic "Oh, it's too thick" waiting to catch them by surprise. PRC scholars were not spared from the ol' purgatory either. The PRC scholar who has smashed all records for the highest shirt tuck-in level, possibly surpassing even the old Yao, was nabbed by the self-proclaimed mushroom man(the bald guy who was singing today). There were about 20 over guys there, and most of them had acceptable hair standards. Hell, even Matthew was there. There was a conversation between Matthew and the mushroom man, which deviated from the higher-up first telling Matty what needed to be cut.

Mushroom: "Your hair is long. You wanna be like Elvis Presley?"
Matty: "Who's dat?"

LOL.

Did some homework at the canteen with Lewly after assembly ended, while waiting for the chemistry remedial to begin. It was at 4D, so I located Lewly's table(the one with YQ<3me on it) and began some renovation work. There were a pile of books stashed under his table, so I pulled them out and something caught my eye. It was the physics textbook. Coincidentally, it can also be used as a orthopaedic pillow. Anyway, the name written on it was not his at all, so we can infer that Lewly sneaked it away from some poor bugger. The miser has not changed its teeth.

Water Bottle Spin (Shui Hu Zhuan)

Water Bottle Spin aka Shui Hu Zhuan (Gomu Gomu Go~~)
Said to be the result of a hundred years of training under O Level examination conditions. The practitioner must first abandon all earthly ties excluding backdooring. Allows the user to spin a 1.5 litre water bottle on his pinky finger. This move is considered to be of a higher level than that of spinning a book on one's finger. There are however high risks to be taken. Those that are unsuccessful in mastering the epitome of all classroom pastimes shall be zapped by the penultimate finger of doom, also known as pointing and shouting "Objection" very loudly.

Anyway, the Water Margin test is finally over. I had a glance at the summary of each chapter a little bit before the test actually began. The multiple choice was managable, the fill-in-the-blanks hell, with the open-ended backdooring me to no end. When the test was finally over, it was time to say goodbye to a grueling one hour of being pwned upside down. Hilarious moments ensued when I saw some Jeremiah's paper. There was this question in the fill-in-the-blanks where they asked for the three main oppressors of the story. Then I saw it. The answer to end all answers. For listed sparkling clear in column number 6, was Wu Song. True brilliance.

Rumble time is here, bee bee.

I got this dumb keychain from sometime ago, so I tied it to my pencilcase. Somehow, it came alive upon entering the vicinity of the classroom, and the end result?

Review - Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney
Monday, December 24, 2007 // 0 replies

I have been playing some Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney on the DS lately. I just finished Trials and Tribulations today, and am on the last case of Justice for All, which I hope to be able to complete by tonight, accompanied with some cluck cluck turkey ftw.

"Hold it! I gonna zap you with some Finger of Death/Dagon!!!"

Box art for Justice for All.

The Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney series is IMO the best role-play/adventure/storyline game for the DS right now. The plot is solid, though you can spot some spelling and grammar mistakes due to poor Japanese-to-English translation which might be disconcerting to some. Graphics are sub-par, which is expected from a DS game. The soundtrack in MIDI format is surprisingly good, but the voice acting could be improved on, since the only things you're going to hear are "Hold it", "Objection" and "Take that". The main thing about this game is that you'll need a certain degree of patience to last through the long conversations. Don't worry about the cases, they're easy if you've been following the story attentively. Download the three games in the series from nds-roms if you haven't already. For those who don't have a DS, you can try playing on the computer with a DS emulator, though you won't get the same element of fun from juking it out on a portable handheld.

On a sidenote, Santatechies is a good IGN, if you ever need one.
